South Pacific
I started a doodle at work after seeing a photo of a beached tanker. It grew into a test for learning about brushes in Painter 10. The mood of this made me think of something my grandfather might have seen in WWII in the South Pacific. I stuck with mostly black and white to study value and lighting. Notice the little bit of blue in the sky above the ship. I couldn't resist.

This has a very strong mood to it. Really strong Dave. I love the brush work in the water.

Your tests are pretty fine, Davie!

When I view this, I immediately have deep, dark musical notes from horn of some sort floating through my brain. As I glance to the upper right hand corner, it changes to a soothing, hopeful violin.
