Illustration Friday - ChangeChange came to me in the way of process this week. I am trying to change my painting process to detach myself from shooting lots of reference photos. A friend recommended a great book called "The Skillful Huntsman". It's a collection of concept illustrations done by a few students at the Art Center College of Design. In it they document their process and how they get such great results. Pick up the book I highly recommend it.

This has an other worldly look to it, the rugged fingerlike design to the boulders and jagged rocks-interesting.
Thanks for the feedback hardwax. I'm still not exactly happy with the color version. Since it took on a Sci-Fi feel I think I lost my original vision. I'll probably do it over. I think the palette is all off. I probably rushed it to make the IF deadline.
