OK. Chuck threw down the challenge. Here's the rest of...let's call him "Drhino". I have to admit I felt a little geekish drawing this... reminded me of Napolean Dynamite and his "Liger".
What is it about a bic pen?On the roller coaster of emotions associated with losing someone close there are highs and lows. One moment tears roll down your face the next moment you are remembering a fond moment that makes you laugh. During one of these moments of laughter I had a Bic pen and paper in front of me and I sketched this gentle beast. For me there's something about a Bic pen that brings out more expressive line work. Maybe it's the ability to vary the darkness of lines by changing the pressure. The subject I think came from the happy moment. He represents a fantastic fictional place only I could escape to during our trying time here at home.

You could probably guess which one I'd like the most. Maybe that's the best choice for anyone. Start from the line and work out(word). How many past artists throughout history do you(we) look at their sketches, and find that their most compelling, honest work ...
