Another challenge
Everything is turned upside down again. Carm's father passed away. He had been battling Cancer for nearly the entire time I've known him. At about 3 p.m. on Thursday the 24th of August Tony finally relaxed. This is the closest I've been to the process of dying. Witnessing it I realize how very important it is to be there for that person. Tony was home with his family when he left. It remains the only way everyone should be able to leave this earth.

Family and friends from as far as Italy have flown in and are all gathering to honor the fine man that gave me my wife. It's been a busy few days with a few more ahead. Everybody has pitched in to make these days as easy as possible. Though it's never easy. I watch Tony and Michelle's three kids and they are so busy they barely have time to breath. Everyone's schedules are blown off especially the grandchildren. Even Olive is asleep under the pillows right now. For a dog who hates being covered up I find it odd. But in the end a fitting tribute will be in our memory.

When the time is right I will return to my posts. With even more purpose.
