For the sake of ease and where I am in my life currently I only have access to digital painting. The purist in me is conflicted about this. "I'm trying to get away from the damn machine!" But the practical side of me says "It's there and easy for me to use so go ahead. It's just another tool." I have Painter but this experiment will take place in Photoshop only because I know the program better.
I put the sketch on its own layer in photoshop. I set that layer to Multiply so the color below shows through. And you can see that I duplicated the fur and flipped it to save time.
