If you’ve ever been around weight lifting you may hear people talk about “maxing out”. It’s usually one day in the week you lift all the weight you can once. I maxed out with Leonardo. As a traditional illustrator it is my only professional piece. It was done for Grumbacher art supplies. I got the job through contacts I had made with my instructor and mentor Alex Bostic. The painting is far from perfect. I had seen conceptual pieces like this from several illustrators. There are also anatomical issues. Good or just average it was the culmination of my college career. And that’s close to when I stopped painting. O’ sure I did a few here and there but a steady job and paying bills was top priority.
So, in a sense, this is my new start point.

BIGGER! Make the images bigger! I want to see!
Ok, I'll keep that in mind. When I have a moment I'll make these two images bigger.
